Discuss IranUS's OPT USCIS Case

The 'Approval' . . . how is it received. How do you FIRST hear about it . . . US mail, email, website tracker or what?

I received the approved letter last week, then uscis tracking case updated on card production and track number for mail service was there.
It should be in my mail box now.
I send it in first week of march, I believe that April is more crowded. My first OPT card in April last year took more than 90 days.

Oh, that doesn't sound good. April is crowded, so took 90 days for you last year!!

Yes, I had already back ground check when I wanted to get F-1 visa.

may I ask how long you waited? I am a citizen of Turkey and I had to wait almost 1 year :( Now I'm worried I will also have to go through a background check for an OPT.

It was 4-5 years back and every thing was different.
You can't get OPT as soon as you get F-1. It is after graduation.... You may doing mistake in understand OPT.

While I was getting my F-1 visa 4 years ago, I had to wait 1 year for my visa since I had a common "muslim name". Now I am worried if I will have to go through a similar check for my OPT application.

No don't worry at all. OPT will take MAX 90 days if there is no rfe! If you have submitted all documents, there is no issue to worry.
