15th June-Called to expedite. 19th June-Received email denying request (no evidence requested, immediate denial). 20th June-Mailed my internship offer letter to add to application with a note on how it was a lifetime opportunity for me (no expedite)

Same place I mailed my application to. I'd recommend trying it. I think it may have helped me because they approved my application two days after they received my offer letter and note.
when I sent the offer letter I didn't ask for it to be expedited or anything because they had already denied my expedite request. Hope this helps and good luck!!

Nope. Have you? My status changed to card was mailed to me on July 6th yesterday

Yeah they usually either give you the date requested or the approval date depending on which is later
