@optuser6 Nope. Nothing yet. How about you? I raised an SR online today (2/23) to find out if they received my RFE documents and what's the current status.

No, I didn't get any update... What details did they ask you in RFE and what did you provide? Mine still says "Case was received"

This is what they asked me -

=======================================================================================

Based upon the information you provided, a determination was made that additional information is needed. As a student, you may be eligible based on a specific job offer, directly based on studies, which will be revoked if the Employment Authorization Document is not received.

If you wish to be reconsidered for expedite processing please submit a detailed explanation of the situation in a one-page letter. A letter on company letter head that is signed by a company officer must accompany your request outlining a job offer and a description of the position. You may also submit any other information which you would like us to consider regarding your situation.

You may send in your request for expedite consideration to Nebraska Service Center, PO Box 82521, Lincoln, NE 68501.

=======================================================================================

I sent them a document on company letter head signed by the Immigration coordinator of the company explaining the need of expedite processing and my manager wrote a paragraph for me as to what projects will I be working on. Along with this letter, I also sent my offer letter dated 19th Jan and the job description/responsibilities.

My status still shows "Case was received" !

The SR raised on 2/23 gave me a response

"The expediting of a case allows it to be sent quickly to an officer for adjudication. However, your case is currently under review by an officer. We have notified the officer reviewing your case of your expedite request, however it is their discretion to grant the expedite. Please contact us again if you do not receive the document or other correspondence within the 30 day time frame."

Today, (2/25) status changed to "New Card is being Produced".

Thank you everyone for your help and support. I'll be happy to answer any questions.

Hi vandy3,

After you place a expedite request, does it chance the case status online saying "Request for Additional Evidence Was Mailed".
Or is it an update normally asking for more documents?

Please help me with this. Thanks

@optuser6

I did not fully understand your question. When I expedited on call, I got a RFE email the next day. Once, I mailed them the RFE docs, I never heard from them about the status of my docs or my case. Does this answer your question? If not, can you elaborate what would you like to know?

@vandy3:

My application received date is 02 Nov. I didn't receive any update till Feb 8.

I raised a SR on Feb 8, I received an EMAIL on Feb 9 saying "Your case is inline to be reviewed by an officer".
I raised another SR on Feb 19, I received an EMAIL on Feb 22 saying "Your case is under review by an officer".

Meanwhile I was talking to my DSO to check if there are any chances to expedite the process. She sent an email requesting them to expedite the application. But, she received a normal response saying "Case is under review by an officer". She says that USCIS reveals details of the case status only to the applicant and the one she received is a normal update.

But, when I looked for the case status in uscis website yesterday, it suddenly said "Request for Additional Evidence Was Mailed".

Now I'm not sure if this case update above asking for additional documents is because of the expedite request or is it a general update asking for more documents when they don't have enough information.

Summary: When you raised an expedite request, did your case status change online or did you just receive an email. How were you notified that they needed additional documents.

Please let me know if you need more information.

Thanks.

@optuser6 When I raised an expedited request, my status changed online. I got no email for that. Also, I was notified for additional documents by email.
Please let me know if you need any additional information from my end.

Hey vandy3,

Thanks for updating me on this. But, your statement is quite ambiguous : "I got no email for that. Also, I was notified for additional documents by email."

Were you notified of additional documents by MAIL or EMAIL. You wrote the same word "email" in both the cases.

Thanks.

@optuser6

Oops. Sorry. The day I raised an expedited SR, they sent me an "EMAIL" the very next day asking for additional documents.
