No. From what I've heard from multiple sources, contacting USCIS seems to be completely futile. Best advice I've gotten is to wait it out and be patient, getting harder to do that though. Hoping it's merely a matter of days and not weeks.

Did you get any indication that your case was close to being processed? Like, did your status change at all from the 'application has been received' thing?

Nope. I did however use the Case Tracker app that let me see how frequently applications around mine were being approved.
